The Grand Lodges Of The Mediterranean

Manifesto

The Grand Lodges of the Mediterranean (GLM) are a Masonic organization whose international character offers both attraction and opportunity, allowing all brethren to establish relations with different Grand Lodges across all continents, without territorial exclusivity.

GLM aspires to collaborate with young obediences, helping them structure themselves in various rites, respecting the specificities of each region of the world, uniting tradition and modernity, to respond to the essential need for identity in times of global movement of peoples and growing uniformity.

GLM has a Latin and Mediterranean character, while adopting the criteria of regularity of the UGLE, and promoting the richness of European, Eastern, and African cultures, solidarity, the rule of law, multi-ethnic pluralism, and equality of rights — as opposed to individualism and elitist multiculturalism.

The aim of GLM is to promote humanist values, placing the human person at the center — defending individual freedoms and free thought, against the risks of alienation and concentration of power, manipulated by mass communication and artificial intelligence.

GLM seeks to make Freemasonry understandable, to attract intellectuals and responsible men, to address the great issues of our time and to envision the future. It aims for a structure that is both local and global, transmitting the wisdom of the ancients and the knowledge of modern technologies, while faithfully preserving the Masonic symbols representing the essential elements of life: air, fire, water, and earth, in their primordial role of sanctifying existence.
